For low handicappers this bunker short of the green would not be in play - sort of like the one in #10 fairway at Augusta.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18899692.post-86730647408161922082007-11-24T05:07:00.000-05:002007-11-24T05:07:00.000-05:00These are the kind of holes that need to be put in...These are the kind of holes that need to be put into practice. Not just for the players this is the kind of hole that would excite the spectator, the very fact that the player will have to use his brains rather than stand on the tee and bomb a long shot, makes for exciting golf.

It is a real thrill to see players successfully use the contours of the green to get that perfect shot. Hopefully such ideas are put into use on golf courses across the globe.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18899692.post-80242735162923448922007-09-06T19:23:00.000-04:002007-09-06T19:23:00.000-04:00Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC.Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18899692.post-84971903564356182052007-09-05T20:51:00.000-04:002007-09-05T20:51:00.000-04:00What course was that? Too often approaches are subject to green irrigation because of overlap of the streams.

Hand watering helps but is costly in terms of labor.Sirputtsalothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15710360374383269024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18899692.post-82528261054213795232007-09-05T20:05:00.000-04:002007-09-05T20:05:00.000-04:00I would guess somewhere between 130 and 150. The first time I played a Ross course I was looking forward to trying a running approach only to see it die a quick death short of the first green.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18899692.post-87341541420206262262007-09-05T13:51:00.000-04:002007-09-05T13:51:00.000-04:00But not a lower trajectory, punched mid-iron.
